Pentecostal Fire

In an upper room, the faithful gather,
Hearts in unison, minds that matter,
A flame descends, a holy pyre,
Ignites the soul, Pentecostal fire.

Tongues of passion, words aflame,
A rush of wind, in Jesus’ name,
Spirits lifted, voices higher,
In the blaze of Pentecostal fire.

Hearts once timid, now ablaze,
In awe of God, their voices raise,
A light that spreads does not tire,
Fueled by the Pentecostal fire.

From Jerusalem’s walls to the ends of earth,
A fire ignited in holy birth,
Spreading peace, love’s desire,
In the wake of Pentecostal fire.

Let this fire within us glow,
A beacon bright, in hearts below,
Spreading light, our souls conspire,
To live within Pentecostal fire.

Pentecost Flames

Flames of tongues in upper room,
Spirit’s wind dispels the gloom.
Hearts ablaze, they speak in awe,
Proclaiming grace, fulfilling law.

Nations gather, wonders heard,
In their language, Holy Word.
Unity in Christ they find,
Pentecost, God’s love enshrined.
