Today, I celebrate the 38th anniversary of my baptism. It is a day of reflection and gratitude, a day to remember the moment when I made a public declaration of my faith. I am reminded of the words of the apostle Paul, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV). In Him, I am a new creation, washed clean by His blood, and filled with His Spirit.
As I celebrate this anniversary, I am reminded of the words of the psalmist, “I will sing of your love and justice; to you, Lord, I will sing praise” (Psalm 101:1, NIV). Today, I sing praises to the One who has saved me, the One who has redeemed me, the One who has given me new life. I am grateful for His grace, His mercy, and His love, which have sustained me throughout these 38 years.
In baptism’s light,
Renewed by His grace and love,
Eternal promise.
As I commemorate 38 years since my baptism, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness and grace that have sustained me on this journey of faith. May His love continue to guide me, and may I always walk in the light of His presence.
