September 6 marks two significant days in my life.
One such memory is the burial of my dad. Today marks thirty-two years since my dad was laid to rest.
I have no bad memories of my dad. He helped make my childhood special. I thank God for blessing us with our dad. When I think about my dad, I think about a man that, despite the human shortcomings that we all have, he was the best example to me of how a man could love his children. Only the most gracious and kind Heavenly Father would have been so wise as to have given me, the most wonderful dad.
Also, today marks nineteen (19) years since I have been working with the Ministry of Education. I have had some good, bad and not so good experiences. I have met some wonderful people. Some of my clients have become my good friends who stay in constant contact with me, even some who have resigned, retired or migrated to other countries. I also treasure the relationship I share with a former colleague who became a part of my family. Amidst the many challenging and unpleasant experiences, they have all helped me to be the person I am today.
Today as I reflect I pause and give Abba thanks for the blessings my dad brought to my life and also the blessings and fulfilment I get from my job these past years in serving others to the best of my ability.
To you reading this, thank you so much for being here. You are special to me and I appreciate you always registering your presence here. May the Lord continue to bless and strengthen you.
