Prayer of Repentance😢😢

Dear Heavenly Father, here I am, your daughter, a little lump of clay. I acknowledge that I have sinned and I come before you in humility asking for your forgiveness. I come before with a heart that longs for more of you. I want to feel the presence of your Holy Spirit from day to day. I want to hear your still small voice. But you word declares that if I have iniquity in my heart you will not hear me. Your word also tells me that if I confess my sins, you are faithful and just to forgive me of sins and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Father, you see my heart and know it is a fickle thing, full of deceit and selfish desires.

Father I have sinned and I seek your forgiveness. I feel guilty for all the wrong doings in my life. I feel guilty for being disobedient😢😢, for doubting you and listening to the lies of the devil. I have had sinful thoughts and have done sinful actions as well. I cannot undo what I have done, but here I am, I repent of my sinful thoughts, and actions, and ask you to take me and mold me into a vessel fit for your use. Today the door of my heart is open wide. Come in, and expose all the sin in my heart, convict me, clean out the skeletons and the cobwebs and make me clean.

Please forgive me for all the wrong things I may have done or committed knowingly or unknowingly. Please Lord, forgive me for the sins that I have done in the past. I know I am far from perfect but I know you are a forgiving God. Father I am ready to let go. I submit and surrender my all to you. Lord I am consciously choosing to allow you to wash me and make me pure within. Please fill my heart with your light and love. I accept your forgiveness you offer me and thank you for hearing me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Today’s Prayer – # 107

Dear Heavenly Father, I give thee thanks for allowing me to see this new day. Lord I am grateful for the gift of life. I am so appreciative of the air that I breathe. I am especially grateful for the people in my life that love me and care so much about me. Lord, even in the extremity of my weakness, you sustain me. Father I thank you for sustaining this life you have given me up to this very moment.

The Firm Foundation – Jesus Christ

Scripture Reference: Matthew 7:24-25

When we build on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ, we can withstand whatever comes our way. If you have been building on anything other than Jesus Christ, the outcome is certainly not good. If, however, we build our life on Jesus Christ, we have a firm foundation. The firm foundation will withstand the tests that life will send our way. Without a firm foundation in Jesus Christ we will not last in this world.

Remember this: “You cannot stand firm on sand because it washes away. But a foundation built on the Rock will provide a building with a firm foundation”.

Please ponder the following questions and make a decision to build on Jesus Christ, the firm foundation.

Have you built on the firm foundation and the right location which is Jesus Christ Himself?

Or have you built in the wrong place and on a shaky foundation?

Is your foundation secured upon the Solid Rock of Jesus Christ?

Do you have a firm foundation in Christ to withstand all the tumult of life?

You can choose to build on the Solid Rock of Jesus Christ which is the firm foundation or the sinking sand of this world. Which will you choose?

I am just reminding you to make sure your life is built on Jesus Christ the firm foundation.

Build On The Solid Rock – Part 2

Scripture Reference: Matthew 7:24-25

Today there is so much sinking sand in our world. Yet many people build their life on them. The reason why so much needless tragedy is prevalent in our world is because so many of us refuse to build our lives, our nations, or our world upon the firm foundation, Jesus Christ.

Instead, many people build their life on money, thinking money will buy security and happiness. Some build their life on possessions, acquiring more stuff. Many build their life on popularity, fame, celebrity, believing the most important thing in life is to be liked, accepted or desired. Some build their life on athletic prowess or on their beauty, their sex appeal and the list can go on and on.

But note carefully that all of those things are temporary. Time and storms destroy all of those things. Nothing on the list is eternal. So, doesn’t it make sense to build your life on a firm foundation? The firm foundation which is Jesus Christ.

There can be no better foundation upon which to build our lives than on the unshakeable foundation, the Solid Rock, Jesus Christ. No matter how uncertain the future may appear, Jesus Christ is the One and Only Solid Rock and firm foundation. The firm foundation will withstand the tests that life will send our way.

Build On The Solid Rock – Part 1

Matthew 7:24-25 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

The stability of a building depends on a solid foundation and so does the stability of our lives.

What are you building your life upon? Is it on your vehicle, your husband/wife, children, your money, your house, your good health, or all the other earthly achievements? Guess what? At some point, all of these will wash away, like sand slipping out from under your feet. When the storm come to the houses built on sand they wreak havoc. But nothing can move the houses that are firmly built on Jesus Christ, the Solid Rock.

During this time of uncertainty, I am reminded of the lyrics, “On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. It is such a blessing to know that in the midst of all that is happening around us, Jesus Christ is our Solid Rock. He is the Solid Rock that cannot be shaken. He is the Rock that is immovable, protective, secure, firm and strong. It is the best foundation to build our lives upon.

Lord help us all to make Jesus Christ, the Solid Rock, our only foundation.

Jesus Is My Rock

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalms 18:2

The LORD is my solid foundation, He is my rock and refuge in a changing world.

My need for the Rock is growing more urgent and intense all the time.

Thank you, Lord, that you are my rock, my fortress and my deliverer.

My Rock

“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my Saviour; thou savest me from violence.” 2 Samuel 22:2-3

Someone sent me this picture and immediately I thought of writing a post about the rock, which is JESUS, our only true rock.

So often we tend to look to the worldly things to satisfy us which fail so many times and leave us hanging. But there is a rock we can trust. That rock is Jesus Christ. A building is not secure unless it is built on solid ground with a good foundation. Neither is a person secure unless his life is built on Jesus Christ.

Take note of the words connected to safety and protection in the scripture quoted above. The Lord is . . . my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, my God, my rock, my shield, my salvation, and my refuge. Notice the personal nature of these words with the use of the word “my.”

Are you building your life upon the Rock, the Lord Jesus Christ? If you cannot answer yes this morning, today is a good time to start. He is a rock that cannot be moved. Lord, you are our rock. Let us hide ourselves in you.
