Worldly Desires

Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s possessions — is not from the Father, but is from the world. 1 John 2:15-16

So often as christian we can be easily drawn away by the worldly desires. There is the temptation of either greed, pride and lust. But we must not feed these desires, if we starve them they will die. Let us anchor ourselves in God and he will help us to overcome these wordly desires.

As always thank you for reading. I am truly grateful that you stopped by. Feel free to like, share, leave your thought or reblog. Until we meet again in this space…much love and blessings.♥♥♥

Your post reminds me of James 1:14-15: “But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death (NASB).”
