Grateful For The Beauty of Nature

I am grateful for many things because there are so many things to be grateful for. But here’s what I’m most grateful for at this moment: the beauty of nature, eyes to behold it and a sense of GRATITUDE to appreciate it.

Darkness

As the scarlet sun on the horizon glistened on the evening water, I quavered inside…
For the epoch of darkness had appeared and bygone is the midday’s clear.
“Is this an omen that I will perish,
Or a moment that I will cherish?”

As the echoes of seagulls transformed to fear,
Nature’s faded light now disappear.
When wavelets crept against my feet,
Tear gland sweat cascade solitary cheeks.
Oh! darkness veils it’s mystic sheet,
That dusty thing makes spirit weep. Darkness singing its boring song,
With annoying words all night long.
I must admit it makes me mourn,
How I yearn for the break of dawn.

I Am Forever Grateful

I am grateful that I can stand on the Lord’s promises. I am grateful for the love of my mother, and grateful that she is healthy and strong especially during the time of the pandemic. I am grateful that I can count my blessings and name them one by one and still know that am grateful for all things spiritual, physical that make life on earth bearable. I am grateful that no trial I go through in this life is wasted but rather it’s building me up to be the person that my Father in Heaven want me to be. I am grateful that all things are working towards my good.

I am grateful for the tender mercies of the Lord in my daily life. I am grateful for the opportunity to repent every day. I am grateful for the example of gratitude that I also learn from others. I am so grateful for the gift of the Holy Spirit in my life. I am grateful that I can be a light to others around me. I am grateful that I can be myself without feeling that I should please other people but rather do things to bring honor and glory to the Lord. I am grateful that I can still be grateful for more even those that I might forget to mention, now and forever.

In addition to all that I am grateful for, I am grateful for everyone who will read this post.

I Am Grateful In All Things

Even in the midst of tragedy there are many things to be grateful for. Today I am grateful for the blessing to be alive. I am grateful for my family and true friends. I am so grateful for continued good health and strength. I am grateful that I can overcome life’s challenges with God’s help. I am grateful that in the midst of trials and tribulations I am reminded that the Lord will never fail me or forsake me.

I am grateful that even as I grieve the sudden passing of my cousin I find strength in the Lord. I am grateful that the Lord is my strength, my hope, my peace and my salvation, and my firm foundation. I am grateful that I don’t have bitterness in my heart towards those who murdered my cousin. I am grateful that during this pandemic I have been reminded always to focus on what matters most which is family, my spiritual development, and preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ. I am grateful that the Lord always answers my prayers in His way and His time. I am grateful that I can use social media to express my gratitude to the Lord.

A Tribute To My Dad

My dad is no longer with us but he was a fantastic man! He had been a wonderful father from day one. One of the things I have most admired and respected about my dad is the way that he loved my mom and he loved his children deeply.

My dad believed in hard work and instilled this in me. He worked extremely hard his entire life to provide the best for his family. From the first day until the day he passed, he reminds me to always “work hard at my studies so I can be successful in life.” My dad not only influences me through his actions, but also influences me through his words. He sacrificed himself so we could have more than he ever had. He has given me so much, including the most important thing in the world all of his love.

My dad was talented, artistic, quiet, loving and strong headed. He taught me that actions were much more important than any words spoken. He taught me that independence comes with responsibility. He taught me that family is fundamental, and love is our foundation. He also taught me how to balance humility with confidence, and that those two traits would get me far in life. He also taught me to respect my elders both at home and at school, and I always try to obey him. My teachers commended me for this and I owe it to my dad.

When my dad passed away it was the hardest day of our lives. I have no bad memories of my dad. He helped make my childhood special. Only the most gracious and kind Heavenly father would have been so wise as to have given me, the most wonderful dad. I thank God for blessing us with our dad. I miss my dad beyond words but I’m grateful for the time and memories I have had with my him. Happy birthday Dad, forever in my heart.

The Remedy – Gratitude

The bible declares in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”.

The remedy “GRATITUDE” is what healed my wounded heart almost two years ago. During one of my darkest season the Lord spoke to my heart and ask me to record daily the things for which I am grateful. I was at my lowest and thought all was lost then.

Daily I would record things am grateful for and encourage family members to do likewise instead of complaining. It was not long after maintaining an attitude of GRATITUDE I realized that my challenges were no longer at the forefront of my mind. I intentionally pushed my troubles behind me and gave thanks for what I once had, for those happy moments, even if for a short time, for what I still had at that moment and for the blessings I was anticipating.

Everyday, being grateful for the seemingly simple things, the day, life, my family and friends and for having a place to lay my head and sleep allowed me to view my bad experiences in a new way. Soon, the fear, the bad thoughts, the dispair, all those bad feelings went away and gave place to relief, to hope, and thus I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just a simple thing, GRATITUDE, changed my life. It can change yours as well.

May we be blessed with the spirit of gratitude in whatever state we find our self.

Running The Race – Part 2

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 1 Corinthians 9:24

Being a Christian is not just a one time prayer that we pray. It is not something we can just do one day and never think about it again. When we become a Christian, we take on a lifelong commitment to running a race.

Affirmation # 12

Remain steadfast. There are many waves and storms on the path that may crush our spirit. Many hindrances along the way. But one thing that gives me assurance and confidence is that I am not alone. Christ is with me. Above All, victory is guaranteed.

Running The Race – Part 1

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, look-ing unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:1-2

The reality of life is that everybody has a race to run. However, the life of a Christian is not just a daily stroll through the park, instead it is a life long race. It is a race that many will grow weary and tired, and many will give up, some will give up in the middle of the track, others just after they begin the race while others will give up close to the finish line of the race.

Be mindful that as you run the race the devil will place oppositions and distractions in your way as well as try every trick in the book to frustrate you from finishing your race well.

This morning I was reminded that my father who knew me before I was born is with me in this race and may I remind you that he is also with you in this Christian race. It is my prayer that he will give me energy to keep running the race. Without the Lord Jesus Christ, I am nothing. I pray he gives me the strength every hour so that I will be a true Christian, a true servant. I also pray God that you will give each of us the grace, strength and endurance to complete our races successfully.

Let us be determined and committed to reach the finish line. Let us continue to be faithful as we persevere in times of difficulty and uncertainty.

Today’s Prayer # 91

Dear Heavenly Father I thank you for the dawn of a new day. I thank you for a life that is filled with your goodness, mercy and provision poured out to me every day.

Lord I open my heart today and seek communion with the power of your Holy Spirit. I beseech thee to search my heart and soul, remove everything that is not pleasing to you. Empty my heart of every evil thought and desire. I pray that thy Holy Spirit will saturate my life with His presence and fill all the empty spaces in my life.

Father I cannot ride the waves of life on my own, regardless of how hard I try. During the highest waves and turbulent waters, during the quiet and the calm storms help me to rely completely on your strength.

Father I look to your grace, wisdom and mercy to accomplish my heart’s desires. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer in Jesus name I pray amen.
