A Broken Heart

You broke my heart, destroyed my comfort zone,
then disappeared leaving me all alone,
heart of many fragments and a mind that feels the same,
trust and love’s illusions are the things I have come to blame.

If only you had put aside the things that didn’t matter,
then my heart wouldn’t have had to be shattered,
My metallic spade you ripped apart,
I’m left with nothing but a broken heart.

There’s no denying I should hate you after all you’ve put me through,
the facts are undeniable yet I’m sure I still love you.
With all the hope and ray of sunshine moving on with such flow,
life goes on, we met, we separated and we let go.
