I AM DIFFERENT

thBKB6W8KI

I am different I have known this for many years,
I live one day at a time, I don’t try to keep up with my peers.
I am different and that is my preferred name.
Go ahead and criticise me I will remain the same.

I cannot just change into something that will fit,
I am different and that is all there is to it.
Life is not about fitting in, I try to do what’s right and do my best,
I love being different, I always stand out from the rest.

I am different and though you make me feel small,
I know by God’s grace I will forever stand tall.
I am different, God changed me from the inside out,
Cleansed me from my sins, took away my shame and doubt.

If I could be anyone else, I know exactly who that would be,
Unique and different from all the rest, I would choose to be me.
I look in the mirror and love what I see,
It’s okay to be different, different and free.

I am different, am a child of royal birth,
My Father is the King of heaven and earth.
I won’t try to convince you that I am different, or utter another word,
I only suggest that you think about, what it is that you have just heard.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭9

The Storm Will Pass – Pt. 2

We face all types of storms in this life, physical, financial, family, spiritual and social.

Nahum 1:7 says, The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms:

I love knowing that God is my refuge no matter how fiercely the storms are raging.

Looking back on the whole experience in the rain got me thinking about the Christian life and life in general. Life here on earth is not always going to be easy 24/7. However, we can take comfort in knowing that similar to the natural rain, the storms of life, be it sickness, financial difficulties, loss of job, relationship issues: none of them last forever. Storms are not permanent. There will be thunder. There will be lightning. There will be wind. There will be rain. Some of the storms of life will last for a short time while others may last for decades, but eventually, they too will pass.

The Storm Will Pass – Pt. 1

It’s past six o’clock in the evening when I came out of the church and it began to drizzle. I continued walking as I needed to get across the street to board a taxi to get home. A few minutes later, the rain poured a little harder. I walked fast, then the rain drops became bigger. I walked even faster and managed to rush into a taxi. On reaching my destination I hurriedly got out of the taxi, walking very fast, although I knew I’d get wet sooner before I reach my home.

THIS IS THE DAY – REJOICE!💃🏽💃🏽😂👏

This is the day that the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psall 118:24

Today you might not be feeling well physically, financial, spiritually, mentally or otherwise. Just pause for a moment and tell your situation to relax, to be still and know that today is the day for you to rejoice. Struggles or no struggles today is day that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it.

You might be feeling unloved, unrecognized, unimportant, unworthy and all the various kinds of ‘UN’. My brothers and sisters hear me well: Today is the day to rejoice, not tomorrow but today. Today is the day to laugh, to smile, to give thanks with a grateful heart. Today is the day to be happy and thank God for life and all his blessings, many people didn’t make it to this day.

This is indeed a brand new day the Lord has made and through Jesus we can rejoice and be glad no matter what challenges come our way. The troubles of this world don’t have to ruin our day.

It is my prayer that you have reasons to rejoice, too.

Please feel free to share at least one reason in the comment section why you can rejoice today.

As always thanks for reading. Happy Sunday and many blessings for the week ahead!

Until we meet again…Much love♥♥

God Is In The Midst Of The Storm

Sometimes storms can cause much damage and wreak havoc in our lives. While the news focuses on environmental storms, there are other storms just as devastating that people experience every day, such as unemployment, sickness, financial hardship, broken relationships and the list goes on. These storms of life threaten our peace, comfort, and joy, and often bring about fear, doubt and hopelessness.

The disciples were filled with great fear when Jesus rebuked the wind and told the sea, “Peace! Be still!” Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Jesus displayed amazing supernatural power over nature. We learn, along with the disciples, that Jesus can be trusted in the storm.

Trust God In Your Storm

Going through a tough season in your life? We have all been there! The question is, what are you doing when you get hit with a storm? When the downpour comes into your life, do you rant and rave?

It is true that as we go through life there will be storms: hard times, tragedies, difficulties, trials, troubles and loss. We will find ourselves in places and circumstances we never anticipated. We will experience pain and heartache beyond our belief.

God Heals Broken Hearts

Broken. Shattered. Forgotten. Pushed aside. You are going along through life, and suddenly it happens. You find yourself with a broken heart. And it hurts. Ever felt that way? 😭

So often we try to hide our pain, preferring instead to present to the world, a beautiful façade of who we are, more like a perfect version. We find it too difficult to risk the real vulnerability of exposing what once was or what really is.
