Living In Gratitude

Greetings my brothers and sisters. I trust that you are all doing well. I am so thrilled that you are visiting my blog. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will greatly encourage your heart as you reflect and ponder on my thoughts and these scripture verses today.

Today is the last day of the month of May and I am truly grateful to be alive. God has given me so much to be thankful for, if I only choose to take the time to recognize them.

What am I thankful for this past month?

Truly my heart is full of thankfulness because I am a Child of the King. Nothing can dissuade me from this fact. I cannot thank the Lord enough for the many blessings he has given me!

The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”.

Thanksgiving should be a way of life for the child of God. It should not be a once in a while matter, but a daily sending up of thanks to God out of a heart grateful for the blessings of God.

Since February 1, 2019 I begun to intentionally practice an attitude of gratitude. At the end of each day, I lay quietly, with no distractions, and think about my day and all the things and people I’m grateful for. This new approach has really changed how I view my life.

Today I am thankful for God’s provision for my family’s daily needs. Philippians 4:19 says, But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I am thankful for freedom to worship Jesus Christ. I am thankful for my job. I am thankful that God is using me to impact lives for His kingdom. I am thankful for the physical pain because it keeps me focused on God.

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. Philippians 4:4-7

Lord I am thankful that today is a new beginning! I am thankful for God’s love and his gift of forgiveness. I am thankful for the wordpress community, all of the different people and ministries that God has put into my life to use as tools to teach me.I am thankful for the amazing, marvellous grace of God. 2 Corinthians 12:9 declares, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me”. I am truly thankful that God’s grace has been and is always sufficient for me.

I am thankful for all the readers of this site, I am grateful for the encouragement you have given me. I am thankful for Jesus Christ, my Saviour and my relationship with Him. I am thankful for the gift of grace, the Holy Spirit, and being in fellowship with all people, believers and non-believers from all walks of life. I am thankful for family and friends.

I am thankful for the gift of prayer as it comforts and soothes my being. I am thankful I have the chance to show the Lord how grateful I am for all that He has done for me. I am most thankful that the Lord found me when I was lost in sin and rescued me from the pit of hell. I am just thankful… my list keeps growing.

Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20

Is there anyone who would like to thank God for something he has done for them this past month? Now is the time that you can publicly testify of his workings on your behalf.Worthy is the Lord, for His name and mercies endure forever. All glory to the Lord for his unending goodness to one like me. “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalm 100:4

Many thanks for reading. May the joy and peace of the Lord fill you to overflowing. Wishing you a wonderful final day of May and a beautiful June ahead! Thank you so much for spending some time in my space!
