From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2
When was the last time you had to trust God for the outcome of something? I mean really trust God?
It can be hard to trust God in those moments where we feel like we are walking in the dark, listening hard for a voice to follow which at times seems distant and hard to distinguish with all the other noises around. But when you are truly quiet and allow that voice to become stronger, there is such a sense of peace and direction.
Trusting God makes all the difference. In every situation we may find ourselves in, in each circumstance of life. And, in our day to day experiences.
The Apostle James tells us in James 1: But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:5-8
James reminds us that no matter how difficult our circumstances are, God always offers us his guidance. His ways, you see, are higher than our ways. He has ideas and solutions that we have never thought of.
However, we often forget to ask God for guidance. Instead we try to handle things though our own knowledge and understanding. But that does not always succeed as we would like. We do not have perfect knowledge or insight. But the Lord has all the knowledge and insight that we need. And he is willing to share it us. All we have to do is ask, in faith, without thinking that he will not respond to us.
Thus, in any situation we can gain all the insight we need if we seek the Lord for guidance.
Making decisions for your future can be difficult. But as long as you remember that God has a plan, and you give him control, you can be assured that things will work out in the way God wants them to. You also have to remember that sometimes His answers may not be clear. But just seek the Lord first and most, and trust Him to work out the details.
I cannot promise that everything will be perfect, but I can assure you that God is watching over you and He will work things out for your good. By remembering this, you can begin to place more trust in Him, even when it is difficult.
Do yourself a favor and trust God. Really trust Him. Right now, wherever you are, whatever you are facing. Really trust God. Let Him fix it how He sees fit. Trust Him always. Trust Him 100%. You will be glad you did. Oftentimes the things we desire most requires us to let go and trust God with the outcome.
Lord, I am trying to make a decision. I want to know your thoughts. I want to make the right choice. I believe that this decision, while agonizing, has been orchestrated for my good. This is the desire of my heart, but I want to hear from you. God if it is the wrong decision, I trust you will show me. If it is the right one, I trust you will show me. I am trusting you with the outcome.
Remember: Life is full of unexpected twists, those sudden changes you never see coming. But chose to trust God for the outcome, trusting God at all times is extremely important! As Christians, we are to trust in God completely, even when we cannot visually see the work being done. When we trust him completely, He will accomplish so much more than we ever thought possible.
