God’s Love Is Steadfast

Isaiah 54:10 says, “For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”

Do you know that you are loved? Do you live daily in the knowledge of the love God has for you?

Faithful God even when I fail I know you love me. Thank you for your amazing love. My sins were great BUT YOUR LOVE IS GREATER.

God’s love for me cannot be shaken, it is a permanent love. From God’s love flows my comfort, peace and confidence, no matter what the future may hold for me. This kind of love is very practical. It’s outward looking, pushing me to seek the best for others rather than for myself. Thank you for your love that is unshakable. Thank you for your love that is marvelously and absolutely unconditional. Not only that your love is also giving and sacrificial.

Acknowledging and experiencing your love for me has dramatically and beautifully change everything in my life. To be loved by you oh Lord is the greatest gift in the world. More times than I can count your love has drawn so near, so strong, so sure, so certain, so supreme, sublime and surprising.

Ever loving God even in my unbecoming, you remain steadfast in your love for me. I cannot fathom such a beautiful gesture. I cannot fathom the vastness and completeness of your love. Day after day the depth of your love keeps me going.

I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3: 18-19

Simply knowing that God loves us in an intellectual sort of way, (as something we were taught in Sunday School), doesn’t change us in any substantive way. It is only when we experience that love, touching our hearts and minds, that God’s love becomes real to us. When you experience God’s love in your life, that experience is transforming. It changes how you perceive yourself, and how you relate to other people. It’s a life-altering experience!

Having an intellectual understanding of God’s love is very different from experiencing that love.

You need to know by experience that God loves you. You need to be convinced of it. When you know by experience that God loves you, you are rooted and grounded in his love.

Dearly beloved, are you aware how much God’s love to you can be found in each day’s blessings that you receive? Do you pay attention to the many little ways in which God is telling you how much He loves you?
