The Unchanging God

Psalm 102:25-27: “You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, but you are the same, and your years have no end.”

At a time in my life where things seem to be changing on a day by day basis, it can be difficult to remember that I believe in a God who is unchanging in his love, grace, and sovereign direction for my life. But ultimately, there’s one thing I know for certain – God’s Word stands true and is always there to remind me of who He is even when my memory fails me.

God’s word tells me that the things He created and set in place are going to change, but He himself will not. Even when the foundations of the earth and the heavens perish, God remains the same. He loves me, is for me, continues to watch over me, and even through I face challenges of all sorts daily, He is pursuing me.

There are two truths that I want to grab a hold of and not let go of during this time.

To constantly remember that God’s love for me is unchanging and unconditional, even when my love for him tends to flow from a place of how I’m feeling at that particular moment and what my circumstances look like.To know that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.espite having to face hardship and pain. I can rest in knowing that this is for my good and not for my harm. Even more than that, God is going to use this for His glory to be shown and for the advancement of His kingdom.

God is a God who is unchanging, even when He changes everything around me and in me.
