These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33
The path of life leads us into prison situations from time to time. We all face hardships and trials. That is the way of life.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Psalm 102:25-27: “You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, but you are the same, and your years have no end.”
At a time in my life where things seem to be changing on a day by day basis, it can be difficult to remember that I believe in a God who is unchanging in his love, grace, and sovereign direction for my life. But ultimately, there’s one thing I know for certain – God’s Word stands true and is always there to remind me of who He is even when my memory fails me.
We learn things from suffering that we cannot learn from studying. Suffering shapes our character in a way that words cannot fully describe. Even Jesus learned from his sufferings (Hebrews 5:8), and we are also called to take up a cross and suffer with him. “If we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory” (Romans 8:17).
Thank you Heavenly Father for giving me another year.
Thank you for everyone who remember me today
by calling me, sending gifts and kind wishes.
Lord, let this day be a reminder to me of all the gifts and blessings I have received from you this day and all the days of my life. On my day of celebration, I thank you for my life, the love of my family and friends and all of my blessings and ask for another year filled with your presence in my life that I may continue to grow in your love.
Gracious Heavenly Father, I thank you for enabling me to celebrate my birthday. Lord You have been good to me all these years and I thank you for all the blessings I have received but especially for life itself.
Father, I do not know what lies ahead for me this year. Yet I know that you are holding my future in your hand. Let my ways be pleasing to you. As you have promised, be with me, Lord. Guide me with your strength and grace so that I can live for you always.
Enable me to draw closer to you that I may walk in your peace and be the kind, creative and loving person that you intend for me to be. I ask this and all things in the sure and certain knowledge of your love for me. In Jesus name Amen.
