Standing Firm In The Storm

Psalms 34:19 says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

We all go through storms in our life. The wind will blow, floods will come, our ship will be tossed. But God has promised if you will just hold on to Jesus, stand on the word in the middle of your storm, you will be safe.

No matter how dark our life may seem, we must believe the truth that God is bigger than our storm!

Storms aren’t excited either in real life or at sea. Yet there are lessons to be learned through storms that we would never learn if life were always calm.

God can use your storm to make you. God doesn’t keep you from trouble, but when you are in trouble, He leaps into the trouble with you. God didn’t keep Daniel out of the lion’s den, He got in there and lock the lions’ jaws.

Christians are not automatically exempted from the storms of life. Christians are not exempt from trials. Just because you’re in Jesus’ boat doesn’t mean that it’s always going to be smooth sailing.

We will never go through a literal storm on the Sea of Galilee, but we do go through various “storms of life.” Your storm may be when someone you love dearly dies unexpectedly and you don’t understand it. It may be when your job is not going the way you need it to go. It could be when you feel betrayed by those you love and no one understands your heartache.

Our storm can be when life has us so confused, we don’t know what to do. It may even be when satan whispers in your ear, “It’s no use, it will never work. You may as well give up.”

No matter what the enemy tries I will not crumble in the midst of the storm because my foundation is sure. And no matter how the winds may blow, I’m going to hold to the foundation. I’ve got too much word in me for the storm to destroy me. I’ve been through the storm, had heartache and pain, some ups and downs but praise the Lord MY SOUL IS ANCHORED IN THE LORD.

Your life is not measured by your accomplishments, but rather by the people you’ve touched and the lives you changed.
