Wow, 2016 has been quite an excellent chapter of my life.
It has been an enjoyable, painful, meaningful and important journey for me and my family and I’m glad we made it this far. Actually it has been quite a lifetime!!!!!
As I reflect on all the wonderful things the Lord has done, the miracles, His favor, His blessings and grace, I can only say that He has done so much for me and my family. Certainly much more than I could ever ask for.
2 Corinthians 9:15 “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”
This is the time of year when we are concerned about choosing just the right Christmas gifts to give to the special people in our lives.
There is one thing that I have learned about gifts. No matter how much you enjoy receiving them, they just don’t last. Some of you may have received new clothes. They look lovely and you enjoy wearing them, but sooner or later, they wear out, go out of style, or you outgrow them. I am sure that many of you received gadgets. You really enjoy using them, but eventually, they either get broken or you get tired of using them. Perhaps you got some food items. Well, when you eat them they are gone. Except for what you wind up wearing around your waist.
James 1:2-4 says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
The trials and adversities of life are never pleasant, but it is in them that we learn the secrets of dependence, of grace, of hope and of God’s presence. None of us wishes for trials or adversity, but it is through them that God refines the metal of our lives and mould us into His image. Just as metal is placed in a furnace and heated to a hot state so the dross can be removed, God allows us to enter the furnace of affliction so that He might refine and purify our lives.
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hi Abba, It’s me again coming with a humbled heart to offer thanks to you.
I am most thankful, that my Heavenly Father loves me enough to send His Son so that I might have life, and have it more abundantly. I find hope and joy in the very sound of His name.
Heavenly Father, You have been good to me. My gratitude flows endlessly for the countless blessings you bestowed upon me daily.
I am completely grateful for the good health. I am thankful for the simple things in life, a working telephone with the resources that allows me to keep in touch with my family members and friends daily.
Psalms 34:19 says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
We all go through storms in our life. The wind will blow, floods will come, our ship will be tossed. But God has promised if you will just hold on to Jesus, stand on the word in the middle of your storm, you will be safe.
By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35).
Love is the irrefutable evidence that convinces the world. In other words: if we show love by our actions the world will notice, they may even stand and applaud. Love is the badge of discipleship.
