1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
If you are a Christian, you have the gift; you have power. The power within us is a gift, He is the Holy Spirit. We have the spirit of God within us.
Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
For the last few days the scenes of my encounters with external and internal customers kept replaying in my mind. I could hear their allegations, accusations, criticisms and at intervals rebuke; I would think of things I wished I had said that would have proven their words to be untrue. I compiled lists in my head of all the blame, criticism and disrespectful treatment I had received.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 “Though the fig-tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Saviour. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.”
God is all we need. I can ever rejoice in the fact that Heavenly Father is the strength of my life. None of knows what we will face as we go through the years of our lives, but we can know that our Heavenly Father will give us the strength we need to face life’s trials and battle and that He will help us all along the way.
Isaiah 40:27-31, “Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
There are always those times when it seems that satan is getting the best of us. Sometimes it’s a little hard to maintain your faith and trust in God when everything is going against us and we are in the middle of one of the greatest battles of our life. It is in those times that we need the Lord more than ever. It is in those times that our faith and trust in God is really put to the test.
