The bible says we must love one another. But can we truly love others?
Indeed loving people can be difficult, yet that is what the word of God commands. St. John 14:15: If you LOVE me, you will keep my commandments.
Jesus gave LOVE priority over all Christian virtue. Every thought, every response and every act of goodwill must first pass through the fine filter of LOVE., or it is meaningless. God established LOVE as the impetus of obedience.
Luke 17:6 He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
Faith grows in the act of obedience. If you sense God leading you into something and you don’t have the faith for it, just take the first step and you will see that God will give you the faith you need for the next step, and then the one after that. Faith comes as we obey! The more you go through this process of obedience and faith, the more your faith grows. As your faith grows, your joy also grows.
Faith begins when you trust God’s promise enough to obey His commands. Believing in God is easy. It costs nothing to say you believe in God. Obeying God is another thing. It’s never easy and it’s always costly. Being a Christian is more than believing in God. It involves stepping out in a life of obedience that will be costly.
